CIPMA-HR is pleased to announce the November 8, 2017 meeting:
Managing Grudges in the Workplace
Scott Barash, LCSW
CEO - Human Resources, EAP Program Administrator
County of Ventura
County of Ventura
The presence of resentments or grudges in the workplace can be a source of personal stress and emotional depletion, as well as can have significant impact on the workplace in a number of ways. The Human Resources professional will predictably find the expression and impact of grudges in their workforce. Based on the work of Fred Luskin, author of Forgive for Good, and developer of the Stanford Forgiveness Project, strategies to understand and shift the impact of these impasses is discussed and exercises provided. Awareness of these approaches by anyone struggling with a grudge may benefit from this creative alternative.
